Such a sad article. Of course kids aren’t going to enjoy an extra serving of bagged iceburg lettuce with 1000 island dressing and a side of canned peaches. The problem isn’t that the students are repulsed by fruits and vegetables. The problem is the quality of the vegetables the schools are providing and the way they are preparing them. Give them a homemade blackbean burger topped with fresh avocado and a side of crisp apple crumble made with honey and oats - then we’ll talk.
